Our Mission

The MIROIR Foundation is a charity that enhances the quality of life of older persons living in Canada by providing grants to support initiatives which bring joy and connections to older adults, regardless of their situation. We match donor funds to programmes providing meaningful activities and opportunities.

MIROIR is the French term for Mirror and holds profound significance. It reflects not only our outer appearance but also our inner selves, unveiling both who we are and who we aspire to become.  

As we age, we reflect on life's journey, cherishing time and pursuing joy, particularly during moments of loneliness. The mirror becomes a tool for self-discovery, illuminating our desires and values. 

Inspired by this introspection, we are compelled to take action—seeking happiness and fostering connections with others. 

The logo embodies the transformative power of joy. Like a drop causing ripples, our programme creators and donors collaborate with the Mirror Foundation to spread joy among older adults.
