Lighting Up Residents’ Lives

The Lighting Up Residents' Lives initiative at the Saul and Claribel Simkin Centre uses adaptive lighting to create a blissful and dynamic environment in the atrium of the facility. Using energy-efficient LED lights with adjustable colours and patterns, this project provides year-round visual stimulation, enhances therapeutic activities, and promotes a sense of community and celebration among Residents, staff and guests. With support from the Miroir Foundation, this initiative will encourage joyful connections and reinforce the Simkin Centre’s commitment to resident-centred care.
